KRISTIE KAISER FRUDDEN
WildRidge Studio
Contemporary Visual Art
Acrylic Painter and Illustrator
For the love of color, shared stories & the interconnectedness of all things.
I am an artist with a lifetime of drawing, painting, teaching, and creating. I work & play in my WildRidge Studio, and I say work (because some of it just is) and play, because it's therapy and takes me to a place of exploration, challenge, joy, inner life of the mind stuff, experiences, community, grace, and love

ARTIST BIO
My name is Kristie Kaiser Frudden. I've been living an art-full life since I can remember. My mother is a watercolorist/teacher, my father a naturalist/teacher (amongst other things). I grew up surrounded with the smell of art supplies and the outdoors. I headed to college for a BS in Art Education and spent 25 years teaching in public school studios having my heart filled everyday with young artist's ideas and creations. Along side that time I worked out of my WildRidge Studio in Minnesota painting commissions, exhibited in juried shows, was the featured artist for Mahtomedi's Farmer's Market, art festival exhibitor, acquired an MFA in Illustration from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design (MCAD), and all-around spent time practicing my craft. The early years were full of kids, family, the best dog, friends, teaching, and art exploration. As much as I loved full-time teaching, I was finding a void in my own creative life that needed to be recognized. I took an early retirement in 2018 to get back to focusing on my own art practice and what that meant now. What I found was the gift of time, experience, and a crazy drive for growth.
Original acrylic work and giclee prints of original work are currently available.
